Time for $20!
Twenty an hour that is.
There is a dangerous shortage of homecare workers who help so many people stay safely in their home, handle basic domestic and personal care. Lack of homecare workers means costly calls to 911 ambulance, displacement from home and community into long-term care facilities.
We are letting the Alameda County Board of Supervisors know we support raising the hourly wages of these essential county workers.
Tuesday April 12, take a little time out and Join Gray Panthers East Bay with the rest of the LTSS4All Coalition (Long-Term Supports and Services for All). RSVP and we can let you know how to find us. We'll have our banner, chairs, sun or shade as needed if you let us know you are coming! Including a tasty box lunch for those who RSVP by SUNDAY Friday April 10.
Thanks for the Hand in Hand Domestic Employers Network for organizing community support, including ours.
Thanks especially to Gray Panther member Hannah Karpilow, our liaison to LTSS4All and Hand in Hand.
