Tenants in affordable senior housing - what do we want; what do we need?
Challenges and Obstacles

Gray Panther Members usually gather socially most second Wednesdays
each month. In May we'll be gathering at Strawberry Creek Lodge, the
oldest senior affordable housing community in Berkeley, The public is
also invited for East Bay Affordable Housing Month, Speakers from
Strawberry Creek Lodge Tenants Council,  and other seniors living
similar East Bay Gray  Panthers and Berkeley Cohousing

We'll have tea and light refreshments in the garden, opportunity to
hear speakers and join discussions on key topics.  Residents, staff,
and board members of affordable housing and cooperative developers are
welcome to learn from residents of multiple senior buildings what the
secrets of growing a strong sense of community as an essential part of
aging well.
Address:
The Lodge ground floor and garden are wheelchair accessible, van
drop-off is available, but Parking is on street only; Easily
accessible by AC Transit 72, 51, 88 and North Berkeley BART,  electric
bike stations are close by.

1:PM Doors Open, Welcomes and Sign-ins
1:30 to 2:30 Speakers from Strawberry Creek Lodge Tenants Council, the
SCL Foundation, SAHA, East Bay Gray  Panthers and Berkeley Cohousing.
2:30 - 3:30 - Q&A - Small group discussions in the garden and
community rooms and tours
3:30 - 4PM Wrap-up, Clean-up, and goodbyes

Facing Issues and Each Other; Getting the bugs out of self-governance
